Hello to all my good friends in "Whacky World of Sports". Send us your request and Wish List. We have a large inventory of both Vintage and Modern Era Cards. Sometimes we buy and possibly even trade. Let us hear from you.
Now for my fellow Yankees Fans. What's your take on our new Yankee Manager? Here's what I think. He has the talent but needs much more experience to manage a Premier Team like the Yankees. He needs to gain that experence with one or two smaller market teams (such as the team he managed so well in Florida). "George" and the fans do not expect managerial moves such as pulling the starting pitcher ten minutes before game time because a weather delay seems emminent. Nor do they expect power hitters to be pitched to when First Base is open and less than two outs. We fans expect "the Basics" and no "cute" stuff. I think Giardi will be lucky to finish the season as the Yankees manager. Perhaps Don Mattingly should be reconsidered as a Manager and even offer Bernie Williams the Bench Coach Position. We (the Yankees) should be at least ten games over 500 come the All Star Game which incidentally is being played in Yankee Stadium in this the last year of existence. "Ruth" built it, Stars played in it and Three Popes said Masses there. Even Professional Football teams played there. I vote to perseve it when the new stadium opens. Use it as a Baseball Musem or even as a place for High Schools and or Colleges to showcase their talents. It would be a crime to tear it down. What do you think? Please reply with your thoughts.
God Bless, Jerry Hines aka "The PinStripes Guy"
